Zephaniah 3:9 - One Accord
Step 1: Pray. Select.
As I sat down to pray today, the Holy Spirit brought back to my attention the Book of Zephaniah from a set of totally unrelated circumstances.
He had tugged on this earlier in the week, but today, Zephaniah 3:9 felt timely.
Let's begin our journey here, friends.
Step 2: Write. Read. Circle
Zephaniah 3:9 - For then I will restore to the peoples a pure language, that they all may call on the name of the Lord, to serve Him with one accord.
After reading the scripture three times, the following words stood out amongst the others:
I Will Restore
A Pure Language
To Serve
One Accord
Step 3: Re-Write
With a focus on the words that stood out, here is the personalized sentence that came alive. Don't forget, if you are doing this alongside me today, to add your name to your unique sentence:
Jennifer, I will restore a pure language to serve one accord.
Step 4: Visualize
I am seeing a massive group of angels, like a choir. They are in perfect harmony. As they raise their voices together, light begins to exude, eventually overtaking the atmosphere so that I cannot see a beginning or an end. It is infinite glory.
What God shows me is that the angels are clear that they are to serve whatever God’s will is. They worship day and night, and even though they have different assignments given by the most high God, they remain humble and bend a knee at any moment to do what God asks them.
I sit and think about what pure language the Holy Spirit is drawing my attention to within the scripture and my sentence today. For the angels, it is the sound of the perfect notes that produce a chord that is pleasing to the ear. This is where Satan, who sang on his own accord, was cast down because he was not interested in doing for the collective. He wanted to control the collective.
What the Holy Spirit is speaking of today is to sharpen my ears and tune my voice to be a part of the solution in all things instead of resistance. To calm my soul into falling into place within God’s amazing flood of grace and let him carry me from glory to glory doing His will.
The reward is knowing I am living well and like He would want. It is falling into or surrendering to His will throughout my days. This is the love language I want to know—the one that, when joined by a body of believers, Jesus can be manifested in full as we come together to complete the Father's work on one accord. I believe this takes a level of discerning and self-restraint I have never experienced before. The Holy Spirit tells me it is a place of complete surrender. I don't just bow to him today and continue about my business tomorrow. But take me to the point where there is nothing more than serving your will. In that place, the angels sing, and love overflows like a river within my heart. I am beating and breathing for only him, which is more than enough to pour onto others.
A question arises, so I move to Step 5.
Step 5: Ask. Seek
The question that came to mind is:
Holy Spirit, what causes me, even after you reassure me repeatedly that I am safe, to continually battle with doubt?
Step 6: Hear. Write. Receive
Here is the answer I received:
"Be reminded constantly that you do not fight flesh and blood, but principalities and dark rulers of the earth. There is less and less hope roaming around that your Father will do what he says, which causes you to be exposed to more flesh than spirit everywhere you go in the world. But you will fight the good fight, and know your Father will show up on your behalf at the right time. He turns all things for His good. If you surrender, you are safe. But, if you fight on your behalf and with your strength, you must understand that it will only take you so far. You are not equipped to fight the battle in which you are blinded and deceived. Think of a wolf in sheep's clothing. The wolf is of an animalistic mindset. Animals operate in the flesh, constantly on the hunt to seek and devour for survival because they depend on the earth. You must learn to depend on the heavens above the earth. Here is where you turn over the whispers of lies and deceit to your Father. Here is where you can fall to your knees, close your eyes, and cry out to your Father to be recharged by his light. While you cry and become vulnerable, God keeps you safe under his wing. The same light that is the light of the world but is not currently in the world, Jesus Christ, will give you the strength to win any battle. This is where all is handled; you just need to walk it out. This is one accord and perfect harmony with your Father, his will, and other believers who have Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit living within them until the day of Jesus Christ’s return. Do not overthink; give all you have to the LORD, who will not disappoint you. Fall to your knees like the angels, stay in the place of surrender, and know He is in agreement, sending the help to turn all situations for His good and perfect will for your life.”
Step 7: Pray. Confirm
Heavenly Father, I come to you through my LORD and Savior Jesus.
I come to you today to fight on my behalf as I let everything go and cry out for your perfect note to pierce the atmosphere. I pray that all weight will be lifted so that I can focus on your glory, which will carry me through any and all situations I encounter today.
Let me be light-powered and light-filled.
In Jesus’ Holy name, I pray - Amen!

Conclusion:
Overall, today is a day of handing over everything to my Father.
I will come to him and rest my head. He promises - Come to me all those who are weary, and I will give you rest.
I will wait upon the LORD to renew my strength, and I pray all of you to receive the peace of Jesus as strong as I feel today.
Let's expose the wolf and graze freely as sheep with our shepherd, offering maximum safety so that we can regain strength.
Have a peaceful and beautiful day, friends. See you soon!
