As you embark on this personal 8-step Prayer Practice of meditating on scripture, our mission is to show how the word of God is living and active (Hebrews 4:12) right now in our every day lives!

Our prayer is to help you develop a deeper connection with God through the Holy Spirit so He can actively engage and gently nudge you closer to aligning with God's purpose for your life on a regular basis.

  • WHAT YOU WILL NEED

    Pen or Pencil

    Paper or Journal

    Bible (Digital or Printed)

    ***Preferred Study Bible (With Index In Back of Book), but not required.

    ***If using a Digital Device a Bible App or Web Search Engine (Internet Required)

  • SELECTING SCRIPTURE

    Pray to God to guide you through this practice.

    Write any thoughts/words that come to mind. If many, focus on one thought or circle three words that stand out above the rest.

    Bible Digital Device: Type “Bible Scripture About ____(fill in the blank with the words or thoughts you heard)” into any web search engine or Bible App search. Hit search and a variety of scriptures or Bible verses will pop up.

    Study Bible Printed (Non-Digital): Go to the Index located in the back of your study Bible. Search for the topic to help narrow down your search.

    Select one scripture that speaks to your heart. Apply to the 8-Step Prayer Process Below.

  • HELPFUL TIPS

    Find a quiet place where you won’t be interrupted.

    Quiet your mind and don’t just talk, Listen.

    Write down the first things that come to mind (scripture, song, random words, etc.) Don’t overthink what you hear.

    Follow all the steps in order and in the end Holy Spirit will confirm (God is not a God of confusion).

  • 8-STEPS LED BY GOD'S WORD

    The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.- Psalms 37:23

    Step 1: Pray Jeremiah 3:33 ESV

    Step 2: Read. Write. Circle Joshua 1:8 NKJV

    Step 3: Re-Write Deuteronomy 17:18-20 NKJV

    Step 4: Visualize Habakkuk 2:2-3 KJV

    Step 5: Ask. Seek Revelation 3:20 NKJV

    Step 6: Hear. Write. Receive Ephesians 6:17-20

    Step 7: Pray. Confirm Matthew 18:19-20 NKJV

    Step 8: Share. Testify Matthew 5:16 NKJV

  • Step 1: Pray. Select

    Pray the Holy Spirit to guide you to pick one scripture that meet your needs in this moment and speaks to your heart.

    Do not move to Step 2 until you have picked one.

  • Step 2: Write. Read. Circle

    Grab your journal and write out the scripture you chose.

    Next, read it out loud three times.

    Focus on the scripture and notice certain words start to stand out while you read it each time.

    Circle those words.

  • Step 3: Re-Write

    Take the words you circled and re-write in a sentence.

    Add your name to the beginning.

    If you need an example, go to Devotionals, where there are multiple examples for you to follow.

  • Step 4: Visualize

    Close your eyes and visualize the sentence you just wrote.

    Ask Holy Spirit to guide you to a place where He can meet you. Stay in that place for 5-15 minutes.

    Write down sights, sounds, colors, words, songs, or anything that bursts into your mind.

    It doesn’t have to make sense; it just needs to be true to what God is showing you in this moment.

  • Step 5: Ask. Seek

    Open your eyes and write down a question or questions that come to mind about what the Holy Spirit revealed to you.

    No question is too big or too small or to outlandish.

    Remember, friend, only you know the desires of your heart. You are worthy to ask.

  • Step 6: Hear. Write. Receive

    Close your eyes, and meditate on your question(s).

    Wait to hear His voice.

    Trust what comes to mind and write it down.

    Holy Spirit knows how to speak to uniquely beautiful you! He will answer.

    You are worthy to receive!

  • Step 7: Pray. Confirm

    Ask two or three witnesses to pray and confirm what you heard from the Holy Spirit.

    We are not meant to walk this life alone.

    Now that we are making time to hear the Holy Spirit and receive instruction, I have faith you will have a testimony or miracle to share!
